The trek can take between 1 and 8 hours depending on where the gorillas are. As you walk through the forest, you may see birds, monkeys, and other forest animals. Once you find the gorillas, spend one full hour observing them; watching the young ones play, the mothers care for their babies, and the silverback guarding the group.

Enjoy your packed lunch in the forest, then return to your lodge for dinner and rest. If time allows, you can visit the Batwa community, former forest dwellers known for their unique culture and short height. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
