After breakfast, go to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a briefing before chimpanzee trekking. With your ranger guide, walk into the forest to look for a habituated chimpanzee group. Once you find them, spend one hour watching and taking photos. The trek usually lasts 2 to 5 hours depending on their location.
Return to the visitor center for debriefing, then go back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi village for a cultural experience. You will meet friendly locals, enjoy traditional dances, and learn about the customs of the Batooro and Bakiga people.
You can also try weaving baskets and mats and buy handmade crafts as souvenirs. During the walk, you may see birds like the great blue turaco and monkeys such as the black-and-white colobus. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
