The journey takes about 9 hours, with a stop for lunch midway to relax and enjoy a local meal before continuing.

The trek usually takes between 5 to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, spend one full hour watching their behavior as they feed, play, and rest under the watchful eye of the silverback. After this unforgettable experience, return to the park offices and drive back to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, drive for about an hour to Lake Mutanda for a relaxing exploration. Meet your local guide, who will share stories about the lake and its importance to the nearby communities. Take a canoe ride across the calm waters, spotting birds and enjoying the surrounding scenery.

Visit some of the small islands and interact with local people to learn about the lake’s history and traditions. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
