The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy the scenery of tea plantations, forests, gardens, and roadside markets along the way. On arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and visit to Isunga Cultural Community
After breakfast, go to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for a short briefing. You will be placed in a group, and your guide will explain the rules of chimpanzee tracking. Then enter the forest to look for chimpanzees.
Once you find them, spend one hour watching their behavior such as feeding, grooming, and playing. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the evening, visit the Isunga Cultural Community to learn about the traditions of the Batooro and Bakiga people. Take a community walk through tea and coffee plantations, vanilla gardens, local farms, and crater lakes. Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ndali-Kasenda Crater area. The journey takes about 3 hours. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, along with elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and Uganda kobs.
Arrive and go to the Mweya Peninsula for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. You will see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and many birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
