Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Leave Kampala early in the morning and drive for about 7 to 8 hours to Murchison Falls National Park, home to four of the Big Five animals. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 2-hour rhino trekking experience. Have lunch and then continue to the park.
If time allows, visit the top of Murchison Falls to see how the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge to form a rainbow. Take photos and then drive to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and rest.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive to see elephants, giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeests, oribis, and waterbucks. You may also enjoy a short break at the hippo pool for bush breakfast or to taste some local fruits. Return to your lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon activity.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile River to see crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and many birds. Enjoy the view of the falls from the bottom before returning to the starting point. Meet your guide and drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which lies between Murchison Falls and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. The park is Uganda’s most visited because of its wide variety of animals, including the Big Five, chimpanzees, and the rare tree-climbing lions.
The drive takes about 7 hours. On arrival, go for an evening game drive before checking in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early breakfast and go for a game drive in the Savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You may see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, hyenas, and many birds.
After the game drive, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions. The drive offers views of hills, farmland, and local villages. On arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking
Wake up early and go to the park offices for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and safety. You will be placed in a small group and assigned a gorilla family to track. Begin your trek through the forest with your ranger guide, watching for other wildlife along the way.
Once you find the gorillas, spend one hour observing and taking photos. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

After breakfast, start your journey back to Kampala. You will make several stops along the way, including one at the Uganda Equator, where you can take photos, watch a water experiment, and buy souvenirs.
